The first time I visited Wolf in Hamburg (after he finished at Rutgers), he had one of these (sometime in the 70s).  Cheaper than a VW beetle and more fun. The canvas top slid open and the air suspension system made it feel be like you were floating sort of.  I don’t think you could ever get one in the US. They were classified as unsafe.
