  I joke about applying for asylum when the MAGAtite returns.
  But it's not the reason I'm a part-time ex-pat.
  I like the (slight) change in culture and the double-homed feeling
  it engenders.  As for the first guy moving to Paris, even though
  France was "socialist".  He needs to live there a bit longer to
  discover that their Socialist party might be right-of-center in
  Arizona.  My adopted town (as are many Cote d'Azur locales) is "RN",
  that is very right-wing (Marie le Pen). I don't see any
  Charlottesville torch parades.  It seems the party is in power
  because it provides aid and organization to the most people in a
  mostly blue-collar and resort ville.  Yes, Macron is a Gaullist and 
  has dis-enfranchised both the left and the right.  Le canard est
  boiteux = the duck is lame. YMMV.
