I use a monitoring system (MyIdCare.com) to see if either Jean's or my
personal information, name, phone, address, driver's lic #, SSN, bank acct
numbers, CC numbers ever get posted to the dark web.  For me the service is
free because of the Chinese breach into the OPM's SF-86 background check
database in 2015.

I got an alert this past week that my SSN and other info was found on the
dark web.  The breach was into National Public Data.  I've included some
links about the breach at the end of this message.

This email is really just a plea / heads-up / request / warning for
everyone to check to see if your SSN was in the leaked data.  These sites

Use a strong password and, if possible, a password manager.  I personally
use KeePass on my personal and work computers.  I added plugins for
Salsa20, Twofish and Serpent ciphers.  On my Android I use KeePassDroid,
not the original Android KeePass.  I don't know if there is a PQC scheme
(FIPS 203, 204, 205) for KeePass yet.
